Note historique et biographique :
BRIN. — Nom d’une famille originaire de Tiffauges dont on rencontre un écuyer d’une montre de Clisson à Ploërmel en 1380 (Revue historique de l’Ouest), très souvent cité, de 1370 à 1380, pour la baronnie de Raiz, aux Procès de dom Morice. Au XIXe siècle, un officier supérieur, anobli en 1817, portant " d’or à deux épées d’azur en sautoir, à la croix de sinople brochante, chargée d’une tige de lys d’argent, terrassée de même " (Nobiliaire et armorial de Bretagne, par Pol Potier de Courcy, 1862. Observations:
- Leblanc , dans son Traité des monnaies , donne la figure d'un tiers d'un sou d'or, ayant une tête nue, et pour exergue Brienno Vico ; Bourg de Brin. L'abbé Travers veut que cette exergue se rapporte à Brains (Loire-Atlantique) ; mais il y a lieu de croire que Brain (Ille-et-Vilaine) a été jadis un lieu plus considérable que Brains.

Royaume d'Italie:
Promulgation, le 17 mars 1861, de la loi en vertu de laquelle Victor Emmanuel II prend, pour lui et ses descendants, le titre de "Roi d'Italie". La constitution de l'ancien royaume de Sardaigne du 4 mars 1848 a été étendue aux pays annexés.

Historical and Biographical Note:
BRIN. — Name of a family originating from Tiffauges, where a squire of a watch of Clisson was encountered in Ploërmel in 1380 (Western Historical Review), frequently mentioned from 1370 to 1380 for the barony of Raiz, in the trials of Dom Morice. In the 19th century, a senior officer, ennobled in 1817, bore "or, two swords azure in saltire, a cross vert overall, charged with a silver lily stem, all on a terrasse of the same" (Nobility and Armorial of Brittany, by Pol Potier de Courcy, 1862. Armorial of Brittany by Guérin, 1845-1848, with colored coat of arms).
Observations:
Leblanc, in his Treatise on Coins, depicts a third of a gold sou, bearing a bare head, and for exergue Brienno Vico; Bourg de Brin. Abbé Travers suggests that this exergue relates to Brains (Loire-Atlantique); but there is reason to believe that Brain (Ille-et-Vilaine) was once a more significant place than Brains.

BRIN. - Nome di una famiglia originaria di Tiffauges di cui si trova un cavaliere di una guardia di Clisson a Ploërmel nel 1380 (Revue historique de l’Ouest), molto spesso citato, dal 1370 al 1380, per la baronia di Raiz, nei Processi di dom Morice. Nel XIX secolo, un ufficiale superiore, nobilitato nel 1817, portava "d'oro a due spade d'azzurro incrociate in saetta, con una croce di verde sovrapposta al tutto, caricata con un gambo di giglio d'argento, terrazzato dello stesso" (Nobiliare e araldica di Bretagna, di Pol Potier de Courcy, 1862. Armoriale di Bretagna di Guérin, 1845-1848, con stemma colorato.)
Osservazioni:
Leblanc, nel suo Trattato sulle monete, presenta la figura di un terzo di un soldo d'oro, con una testa nuda, e come esergo Brienno Vico; Borgo di Brin. L'abate Travers suggerisce che questo esergo si riferisca a Brains (Loire-Atlantique); ma è probabile che Brain (Ille-et-Vilaine) fosse un luogo più importante di Brains.
