Crettaz (Ayent)
- Vieille famille d'Ayent où Boson "de la Cresta" possède un fief à Blignoud vers 1249, et laisse des fils qui continuent la famille.
- Celle-ci parait sous les formes :
"de Crista, de Christa, de Cresta de Fortunal en 1427, Crestail en 1586, Cretal de Fortunal en 1591 (Fortunal, aujourd’hui Fortunau, est un hameau d'Ayent).
- Gaspard de Crista est châtelain d'Ayent en 1543 ;
- Pierre "Crista ou de Christa", de Place, vice-châtelain en 1577 ;
- Gaspard, vice-châtelain vers 1590, participe, avec Pierre qui précède à la rédaction des us et franchises d'Ayent-Arbaz en 1597 ;
- Romain-Jacques "Cretta", de Luc, châtelain et président d'Ayent de 1822 à 1838, député à la Diète cantonale en 1834.
La famille a donné plusieurs capucins : Exupère (1806-1860), gardien des couvents de Sion en 1846 et de Saint-Maurice en 1851, supérieur des Hospices de Romont en 1854 et du Landeron (Neuchâtel) en 1859 : Cyprien (1849-1923), gardien du couvent de Saint-Maurice en 1902, supérieur de l'Hospice du Landeron en 1903, aumônier de Longeborgne en 1907 ; Sulpice (1881-1952), gardien des couvents de Sion en 1921 et de Saint-Maurice en 1923, historien, auteur d'une Histoire des capucins en Valais (2e édit. 1939), d'une monographie de la Contrée d'Ayent (1933) et d'une étude sur l'Hôpital de Sion (Annales valaisannes, 1949).

"D'azur à un cerf d'argent issant de la pointe, la tête sommée d'une croix du même, au chef d'argent chargé d'une rose de gueules, boutonnée d'or, barbée de sinople, entre 2 étoiles à 6 rais d'or.".

- D'Angreville, 1868, indique :
"la rose entièrement de gueules et la tête du cerf avec ses bois à senestre encadrant Ia croix poste en barre. Le cerf portant la Croix sur le sommet de Ia tête joue ici sur le mot crête."
- Ritz attribue à la famille Crettaz d'Ayent une variante des armes de la famille vaudoise de Crista, puis Delacretaz, originaire de Vulliens, éteinte vers 1700, soit :
" d'argent à la tête de cerf de gueules issant de 3 coupeaux de sinople, sans la croix et sans le chef. "

- Vecchia famiglia di Ayent dove Boson "de la Cresta" ha una roccaforte a Blignoud intorno al 1249, e lascia figli che continuano la famiglia.
- Questo appare nella forma:
"de Crista, de Christa, de Cresta de Fortunal nel 1427, Crestail nel 1586, Cretal de Fortunal nel 1591 (Fortunal, oggi Fortunau, è frazione di Ayent).
- Gaspard de Crista fu castellano di Ayent nel 1543;
- Pierre "Crista or de Christa", di Place, Vice-Châtelain nel 1577;
- Gaspard, vice-châtelain intorno al 1590, partecipò, con Pierre che lo precedette, alla redazione degli usi e franchigie di Ayent-Arbaz nel 1597;
- Romain-Jacques "Cretta", de Luc, castellano e presidente di Ayent dal 1822 al 1838, membro della Dieta cantonale nel 1834.
La famiglia diede diversi Cappuccini: Exupère (1806-1860), custode dei conventi di Sion nel 1846 e di Saint-Maurice nel 1851, superiore degli Ospizi di Romont nel 1854 e di Landeron (Neuchâtel) nel 1859: Cyprien (1849- 1923), custode del convento di Saint-Maurice nel 1902, superiore dell'Hospice du Landeron nel 1903, cappellano di Longeborgne nel 1907; Sulpice (1881-1952), custode dei conventi di Sion nel 1921 e di Saint-Maurice nel 1923, storico, autore di una Storia dei Cappuccini nel Vallese (2a ed. 1939), di una monografia sulla regione di Ayent (1933 ) e uno studio sull'Ospedale di Sion (Annales valaisannes, 1949).

" D'azzurro un cervo d'argento uscente dalla punta, la testa sormontata da una croce dello stesso, un capo argent carico di una rosa di rosso, abbottonata d'oro, barbuto di verde, tra 2 stelle a 6 raggi d'oro".

"la rosa interamente rossa e la testa di cervo con le sue sinistre corna che incorniciano la croce post en barre. Il cervo che porta la croce sulla sommità della testa gioca qui sulla parola cresta."
- Ritz attribuisce alla famiglia Crettaz d'Ayent una variante dello stemma della famiglia vodese di Crista, poi Delacretaz, originaria di Vulliens, estinta intorno al 1700, e precisamente:
"Argento con la testa di un cervo rosso emesso da 3 coppe Vert, senza la croce e senza il capo."
Piatto: completo "la rosa abbottonata d'oro".

Crettaz (Ayent)
- Old family of Ayent where Boson "de la Cresta" has a stronghold in Blignoud around 1249, and leaves sons who continue the family.
- This appears in the form:
"de Crista, de Christa, de Cresta de Fortunal in 1427, Crestail in 1586, Cretal de Fortunal in 1591 (Fortunal, today Fortunau, is a hamlet of Ayent).
- Gaspard de Crista was castellan of Ayent in 1543;
- Pierre "Crista or de Christa", from Place, Vice-Châtelain in 1577;
- Gaspard, vice-châtelain around 1590, participated, with Pierre who preceded it, in the drafting of the usages and franchises of Ayent-Arbaz in 1597;
- Romain-Jacques "Cretta", de Luc, castellan and president of Ayent from 1822 to 1838, member of the cantonal Diet in 1834.

" Blau, a deer argent issuant from the point, the head surmounted by a cross of the same, a chief argent charged with a rose gules, buttoned or, bearded vert, between 2 stars, gold, (6) rays ".

"the rose entirely Gules and the stag's head with its sinister antlers framing the cross post en barre. The stag bearing the Cross on the top of the head plays here on the word crest."
- Ritz attributes to the Crettaz d'Ayent family a variant of the arms of the Vaud family of Crista, then Delacretaz, originally from Vulliens, extinct around 1700, namely:
"Argent with the head of a stag gules issuant of 3 cups Vert, without the cross and without the chief."
