Note
Ces armes se trouvent sculptées au-dessus de a porte d’entrée de la ferme qui précédé les ruines du château de Pourcheyrolles, et dans l’intérieur du château.
La famille Flandrin ou Flandin est très ancienne en Vivarais; d’après la tradition le château de Pourcheyrolles aurait été bâti par le cardinal Pierre Flandin, ne en 1312 dans la paroisse de Borée, région du Mezenc, décédé en 1381.
Son neveu le cardinal Jean Flandin ajouta un donjon au devant. Le 2 novembre 1444, noble et religieuse personne, frère Pierre Flandin, moine de Saint-Chaffre, ordre de Saint-Benoit, prieur du Prieure de N. D. de Pervencheres de Montpezat, donne procuration a noble Jacques d'Esparons, damoiseau bailli de Montpezat, et autres officiers pour poursuivre un procès. Pierre Flandin, prieur de Montpezat était fils d'autre Pierre Flandin, seigneur de Porcherolles, et de demoiselle Isabelle du Castrevieille.
En 1476, 13 février, noble François de Blou fait une donation à l'héritier de son père, en présence de : "nobili et religioso viro domino Petro Flandini, priore de Chanalelis et olim priore Montispesati (Pierre Sauzet, notaire).

En 1472, noble Guinot Flandin, seigneur de Pourcheyrolles était marié à Agnès Ythier, dame de Chapdenac.

Jean Flandin, de Montpezat assigné le 25 décembre 1698 est déchargé des poursuites le 22 janvier 1699, lors de la 2e recherche contre les usurpateurs des titres de noblesse. (Bibliothèque nationale, mss, frs, 32293 et 32.557).

Cette maison se fondit dans les de Fages de Chaulnes par le mariage de Louis-joseph-François-Xavier de Fages de Chaulnes, lieutenant au régiment de Flandre, mort sans postérité du manage qu'il avait contracté, le 8 avril 1760, avec Marie-Anne Flandrin de Pourcheyrolles, fille unique d'Antoine et de Rose de La Planche de Baysan.
Il prit part à l'Assemblée de Villeneuve-de-Berg, en 1789. Devenue veuve Marie-Amie Flandrin de Pourcheyrolles institua pour son héritier François de Fages, son beau-frère, dont le fils Alexandre posséda le château et la terre de Pourcheyrolles, vendue en 1890 par M. Jules de Chaulnes.

M. Michel de Chazotte nous communique la filiation de cette maison depuis Hugues Flandin vivant en 1348.
Nous croyons être utile aux chercheurs en la donnant ici :
I. Hugues Flandin qui en 1368 habitait la ville d'Aubenas pourrait être le frère du cardinal de Saint-Eustache, Pierre Flandin, et père du cardinal archevêque d'Auch, Jean Flandin.

II. Et aussi de Pons Flandin, damoiseau, frère de ce prélat, il est dit seigneur de Porcheyrolles et reçoit en 1378 quelques reconnaissances pour biens sis à Mont-pezat. Il fut père peut-être d'un fils parti dans le Rouergues où il avait fondé à Saint-Chély une branche qui s'éteignit vers 1830.
III. Et aussi de noble Pierre Flandin, seigneur de Pourcheyrolles qui épouse en 1396 Isabelle de Castrevieille, du pays d'Uzeye ; dont il eut : IV: Guigon, Barthélemy et Antoine Flandin qui a fourni la branche de Creaux et Pierre religieux du monastère Saint-Chaffre (Ordre de Saint-Benoit) 1444.
V. Guigon Flandin de Pourcheyrolles épouse Delphine de Castrevieille vers 1438 dont il eut : V. Guinot Flandin seigneur de Pourcheyrolles qui vivait en 1461 et 1486, épouse Aymare de Chateauneuf qui en 1459 dorme quittance de ses droits héréditaires, à son frère Bernard de Chateauneuf. Il eut de nombreux enfants :
VI. Jean Flandin, seigneur de Pourcheyrolles, qui vivait en 1482 et 1542 et mourut avant 1539 époque à laquelle sa femme Anne de Canson ou de Sanson est dit veuve. Il eut entre autres enfants :
VII. Jean Flandin, seigneur de Pourcheyrolles qui mourut jeune, laissant de sa femme Anne Baudon : deux fils Guillaume et Jean qui traitèrent ensemble en 1539. Jean fut peut-être l'auteur d'un rameau peu connu établi au Marigou (près de Pradelles).
VIII. Guillaume Flandin, écuyer, seigneur de Pourcheyrolles testa en 1596, épousa en 1563, Marguerite du Verdier qui testa étant veuve en 1608, dont il eut plusieurs enfants parmi lesquels Antoine auteur d'un rameau établi à Thueyts et :
IX. Jean Flandin, seigneur de Pourcheyrolles, était déjà marié en 1596 à Anne Baudon, fille de Jean de Thomine de Bouchard, de ce mariage Jean marié en 1641 à Gilberte Joubert et :
X. Guillaume Flandin, seigneur de Pourcheyrolles que son père émancipa en 1631 et qui épousa peu après dame Calixte de Pibéres dont vint :
XI. Guillaume Flandin, seigneur de Pourcheyrolles, qui mourut vers 1695 avait épousé : l' Isabeau Blanc de Molines, fille d'Antoine, vers 1660-1665, et 2° Isabeau des Arcis, fille de Godefroid, seigneur de Collang, près de Burzet vers 160, de la il eut Antoine qui en 1681 entra au monastère de Mazan comme novice, en 1722 il est qualifié Dom Antoine Flandin de Laval ; 2e Jean Flandin, sieur du Fort et 3e Guillaume Flandin, officiers du régiment Royal-Piémont. Et de la 2e plusieurs filles.
XII. Jean Flandin, seigneur de Pourcheyrolles, mort avant 1728, testa le 21 avril 1722. Il avait épousé Anne Gauthier, fille de Godefroid, notaire à Burzet et en eut huit enfants, entre lesquels Antoine qui suit et Jean-Bap-tiste qui fut prêtre, et Jean-Joseph,garde de corps du roi.
XIII. Antoine Flandin, seigneur de Pourcheyrolles, qui ne laissa qu'une fille Marie Flandin ; sans doute Marie-Anne Flandin, mariée en 1760 à M. de Fages de Chaulnes. Rameau établi à Thueyts.
IX. Antoine Flandin, fils de Guillaume et de Marguerite du Verdier épousa au cours de l'an 1600, Suzanne Baudon, il eut d'elle :
X. Pierre Flandin qui se fixa à Thueyts et y épousa, le 20 juin 1643, demoiselle Magdeleine du Gout, fille de Jacques, seigneur de La Charrière. Il en eut :
XI. Jean Flandin, seigneur de la Faysse qui épousa, le 7 juillet 1672, Catherine de Vergèze, laquelle étant veuve se remaria, vers 1680-1681, à Charles de La Planche. Branche de Créaux. V. Antoine Flandin, fils de Guigues et de Catherine de Castrevieille,mort avant 1505. Il laissa de Louise du Serre sa femme : VI. Gaspard Flandin, écuyer, seigneur de Créaux et coseigneur d'Antraigues qui testa étant déjà vieux en 1505 et fit héritière Louise Flandin sa sœur, femme de Jean de Gout, et Gratian de Gout, fils de ladite Louise.

Note
These weapons are sculpted above the entrance door of the farm which preceded the ruins of the castle of Pourcheyrolles, and inside the castle.
The Flandrin or Flandin family is very old in Vivarais; According to tradition, the Château de Pourcheyrolles was built by Cardinal Pierre Flandin, born in 1312 in the parish of Borée, Mezenc region, who died in 1381.
His nephew Cardinal Jean Flandin added a keep in front. This house merged into the de Fages de Chaulnes by the marriage of Louis-Joseph-François-Xavier de Fages de Chaulnes, lieutenant in the regiment of Flanders, who died without issue of the marriage he had contracted on April 8, 1760, with Marie -Anne Flandrin de Pourcheyrolles, only daughter of Antoine and Rose de La Planche de Baysan.
He took part in the Assembly of Villeneuve-de-Berg, in 1789. Having become a widow, Marie-Amie Flandrin de Pourcheyrolles instituted for her heir François de Fages, her brother-in-law, whose son Alexandre owned the castle and the land of Pourcheyrolles , sold in 1890 by Mr. Jules de Chaulnes.

I. Hugues Flandin who in 1368 lived in the town of Aubenas could be the brother of the cardinal of Saint-Eustache, Pierre Flandin, and father of the cardinal archbishop of Auch, Jean Flandin.

II. And also from Pons Flandin, damoiseau, brother of this prelate, he is said to be lord of Porcheyrolles and receives in 1378 some recognitions for goods located in Mont-pezat. He was perhaps the father of a son who left for Rouergues where he had founded a branch in Saint-Chély which died out around 1830.
III. And also of noble Pierre Flandin, lord of Pourcheyrolles who marries in 1396 Isabelle de Castrevieille, of the country of Uzeye; of which he had: IV: Guigon, Barthélemy and Antoine Flandin who provided the religious Creaux and Pierre branch of the Saint-Chaffre monastery (Order of Saint-Benoit) 1444.
V. Guigon Flandin de Pourcheyrolles married Delphine de Castrevieille around 1438 from whom he had: V. Guinot Flandin lord of Pourcheyrolles who lived in 1461 and 1486, married Aymare de Chateauneuf who in 1459 gave a receipt for his hereditary rights, to his brother Bernard de Chateauneuf . He had many children:
