DESCRIPTION
AL-MANSÛR
Abû Ja`far al-Mansûr `Abd Allah ben Muhammad al-Imâm, surnommé Al-Mansûr est né en 714.
Il devint le second calife abbasside en 754 en succédant à son frère Abû al-`Abbâs as-Saffah.
Il meurt à La Mecque au cours du pèlerinage le 7 octobre 7753. Il y est enterré.
Al-Masûr fonde la ville de Baghdad en 762.
La ville fut officiellement nommée Madīnat as-Salām (la cité de la paix) par son fondateur.
